Story

LuLu is a very sweet dog! She loves people (including kiddos) and playing with other dogs. She adores cuddles and chew toys and car rides.She is leash-trained, house-trained, and we've been working with impulse control commands (she's great with SIT, STAY, COME, LEAVE IT, etc . . . most of the time). We're not sure of her exact age, as she was a rescue animal, but believe much of her energy comes from being relatively young.We're looking to rehome LuLu due to some personal family issues and work commitment changes. Specifically, LuLu has high energy and anxiety, and can't be left at home alone for extended periods of time. We can no longer care for in the way she needs to thrive.We think LuLu would be happy in a home with an owner who can continue LuLu's training and help her overcome her anxiety. She has been super social, so can fit in with a home with other dogs. She's been sweet around every child she's interacted with, including our two young kids.

Story

Ozzie is a very sweet dog and he is extremely loyal to his owners. He loves to go on walks, but he also loves to sleep all day. Ozzie is generally low energy, he adapts to your schedule nicely. He only requires about 2-3 short walks per day. Otherwise he will happily sleep the day away. He is extremely cuddly, and is obsessed with laying his head in your lap. Ozzie is very trainable, and he listens to his owners when using a more stern tone. Ozzie is completely housebroken, and he never has accidents inside. He never chews things around the house, whines to go out, or begs for food. Ozzie also likes the car and is not afraid to go for a ride. He always enjoys a pupcup too. He is trained to sit and stay, and is especially good about it when we feed him. Ozzie walks well with a harness, but sometimes pulls on a regular leash. He loves stuffed animal toys and bones! Ozzie has no trouble getting his nails clipped or being touched in any spots

Ebbie is one of our longtime guests, recently reaching the 6-year mark. He lives in his own air-conditioned, heated cottage on the property and has a little courtyard in which to sun himself. But, a shelter is not a home, no matter how "special" your digs are. Everything about Ebbie is solid -- his stature, his energy, the confidence with which he carries himself. He's a guy who attaches deeply to his human, sometimes a little too deeply, causing him to feel like he needs to protect them from strangers. For that reason, Ebbie, 10, would do well in a low-traffic, lower-stress home. He would thrive with a routine and a little structure to his days. He likes knowing what to expect, as do we. He is very loyal and endearing and he adores his shelter friends. He knows his basic commands and is polite and self-assured. He loves to lounge around and take it slow.

Hector is currently inhome boarding as we continue to search for his forever home. His caretaker says he's charming and she loves having him around. Hector was a county shelter dog adopted by someone nearby. Despite being found roaming and returned to his adopter many times, Hector's resilience shone through. The last time he was loose, he walked himself to the shelter and asked to come in. We can do better for Hector and must make it happen. We have been working on Hector's home for over a year now! It's up to us to give this guy a better ending! Hector is so sweet and deserving. He's selective with dog friends, but we are 100% willing to do meet & greets to assess compatibility and coach you through a happily ever after. Hello world, I'm Keenland. I want to cut right to the chase, I've had my fair share of ups and downs, spending a lot of time in an old shelter all alone, but things have begun to look brighter after being rescued! I am 4 years old and really hoping my family will find me one day soon. I promise I am incredibly well behaved, I love following my commands, and I've been through a few training programs that have passed me with flying colors!
